Agave Quilters Guild
We meet in the Oakwood Ballroom at 1:30 p.m. each 1st Wednesday of the months of September thru May. Anyone is welcome to come as a guest. There is a range of classes and programs available to all members. Beginner quilters are encouraged to join.

Drawing, Pastel, & Watercolor Classes
Ongoing art classes on Mondays at Oakwood Country Club Arts and Crafts Center includes; drawing and pastels, 9:30 a.m. to noon. Lady Putters
Putters play on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at Roberta Sisk Park in Palo Verde. Check in at 9:00 a.m. on the one day selected. Each player brings $2 for the cost of play, a putter, golf ball, and a marker. We are a non-profit organization. We give contributions to Neighbors Who Care, Inc., Sun Lakes Fire Department, Sheriff’s Posse, and Sojourner. Cost is $10 to join.

Sun Lakes Aero Club
The SLAC is dedicated to serve members of widely varying interests to network in aeronautically similar areas such as sailplanes, home-builds, powered flying, radio controlled and rubber band powered models, etc., And to share general aviation participation. Experiences range from military, commercial, and airline pilots through private and pre-solo pilots. Some have tens of thousands of hours of logged pilot time, some have none, but all are welcome.

The club uses a battery operated, hand-held instrument called a metal detector. Its purpose is to locate buried, hidden, and lost treasures. The club will instruct those interested in metal detecting, and also how to retrieve found treasures.

Anglican Episcopal Church Of Reconciliation
Established in 1987. Each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the San Tan Room at the Cottonwood Clubhouse we celebrate Holy Communion using the 1928 Book of Common Prayer in an atmosphere of traditional Anglican Episcopal Worship. All are invited.

Cancer Support Services
The Cancer Center provides an integrative approach to healing. Supportive services and integrative therapies including support groups, educational groups, stress management, massage therapy, Reiki, and Tai Chi are available to those living with cancer. Additionally, the Cancer Center has a wig/scarf boutique with items available at no charge to those in need as a result of their cancer experience. Yoga consists of deep breathing, gentle stretches, and relaxing. This co-ed class is suitable for all levels. Schedule from October - April: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., at the Sun Lakes Country Club Mirror Room.

Hatha Yoga involves mild stretching exercises with balancing and strengthening exercises. It’s suitable for all ages and abilities, and geared toward active older adults.
